I was disappointed, but not surprised, to see the full page advert from the Hong Kong Infant and Young Child Nutrition Association, aka the manufacturers of formula milk, in the South China Morning Post, on November 23.

Baby may have been killed by shaking

An 11-month-old girl who died in hospital after being found unconscious in her home may have been killed by being violently shaken, police said yesterday.

Her 26-year-old mother was in police custody last night on suspicion of infanticide but has not been charged. An autopsy will be carried out soon.

Teen enters no plea over death of newborn

A 17-year-old accused of failing to take care of her newborn appeared at Kowloon City Court yesterday on a count of infanticide. Abraham College Form Five student Lai Choi-ying entered no plea. She is accused of failing to care for her baby on Thursday at her home in Shan King Estate, Tuen Mun.
