1 Print mirrored images using a laser printer or photocopier (inkjet will not work).

2 Cut out images from prepared printouts.

3 Colour images with the pastels.

4 Tap the paper against the table to get rid of the excess powder.

5 Put the image face down on top of the bag and hold it in place.

Printer's angel

The Designjet 8000s Printer is the second product developed under an alliance between Hewlett-Packard and Seiko I Infotech. Available later this year, the 1,626mm-wide printer is designed for a range of large-format, outdoor graphics applications - from small signs to banners. The low-solvent device can print 88 square feet of vivid colour output per hour at 720x720 dots per inch.

People who run a business from home in the average, small Hong Kong flat will want office gear that takes up the least amount of space.

So they will be interested to hear that Hewlett-Packard's latest all-in-one printer-scanner-copier, the PSC 1210, claims to be the smallest in the world. It is 42.4cm wide, 26cm deep and 17cm high, and weighs just 4.9kg.

Pop stars parade new printer

Epson launched its latest inkjet printer on Tuesday, targeting the growing number of digital-camera owners.

Backed by Canto-pop stars Twins - the company's new image ambassadors - the launch came as part of a HK$10 million marketing campaign announced in April to promote its printers in Hong Kong.
