Firm reaps rewards of mainland investment

Dah Chong Hong Holdings (DCH) has announced that its total turnover jumped by 45 per cent to HK$$32.2 billion. In addition, profit attributable to shareholders soared 98.7 per cent to a record HK$1.4 billion and return on equity rose by 23 per cent.

china power buys stake in incineration company

China Power International Holdings has paid $49.4 million for 65 million shares, or a stake of about 2.7 per cent, in waste incineration firm China Sciences Conservational Power through a wholly owned subsidiary. China Sciences will also sell 65 million shares at 76 cents each to institutional investors.

Qingling Motors profit plunges 48pc

Net profit of H-share truck-maker Qingling Motors plunged a sharper than expected 48.8 per cent last year to 262.61 million yuan (about HK$247.06 million), due to domestic competition and new-product development.

Turnover slipped 25 per cent to 3.33 billion yuan over the 12 months following about 12 years of high growth.

Qingling soars 23pc on growth
