Oops, Hamilton Twitter jibe backfires

Lewis Hamilton

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton triggered a fresh Twitter storm yesterday by wrongly accusing Formula One teammate and compatriot Jenson Button of disrespect by "unfollowing" him on the social media site.

Jenson Button win eclipsed by livid Lewis Hamilton's leak

Lewis Hamilton

There won't be too many drivers walking into the paddock in Monza this weekend with their head held high, but Jenson Button certainly has reason to be bursting with pride and optimism. Given the chaos and carnage behind him in Spa on Sunday, his was the most calm and collected drive of the season.

200mph attempt to beat London traffic

You can tell it's the British Grand Prix this weekend because there are lots of news articles in the UK press about the possibility of a Grand Prix in London. It's long been a topic of discussion, and the idea got legs a while back when nigh on half a million people came to watch F1 cars strut their stuff down Regent Street.

German result may be a tipping point

Funny isn't it, how life, seemingly set in its ways, can change in an instant. I'm talking of course in a strictly Formula One sense. Momentum is key, and Button has it

Jenson Button is an eternal optimist. He feels he can win the world championship this year, despite being 60 points behind Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel. However, he may well have reasons to be cheerful. Momentum is everything in Formula One, and as the circus descends on Valencia, Button has that in buckets.

Luckless Button continues to be right man in the wrong car

Jenson Button comes from down the road from me. I hail from the city of Bristol in the West Country of England, and Jenson was brought up in the ancient Somerset town of Frome. While Bristol does a passable impression of a modern metropolis, Frome is an altogether more genteel country community.

Fernando flies into history as prancing horse limps along

So here we are, the end of the Formula One season. For me it's been one of the best of recent years. A new world champion, some competition at the front of the grid and a constructors' title that is going down to the wire in Shanghai.
