Cartier's big cat stalks BRIC nations

Cartier is no stranger to big-budget productions, and it's clear which markets the French jewellery house is courting with its latest short film, L'Odyssee de Cartier.

The film, which premiered at private screenings around the world this month, follows a panther who breaks out from his gem-encrusted form inside a Paris museum to undertake a fantastical journey.

Forget the Vegas makeover - it's what's inside that counts

I'll admit to snoozing standing up when taken on tours of newly built or refurbished stores - yes, it happens quite a lot in my job. Frankly, I'm more interested in what's being sold than whether the walls are painted magnolia or eggshell. Mostly, I couldn't care less if the central atrium is oval rather than circular.
