Mall giant looks to cheaper financing

CapitaMalls Asia, a Singapore-listed shopping centre developer, has diversified its source of funding as it faces higher borrowing costs on the mainland.

Three charged for chopping activist

Police in Chengdu , Sichuan province , have charged three men over a vicious attack on a 62-year old woman who was representing inner-city residents demanding better relocation compensation.

Liu Chongyou , who had lived in Maan village in Chengdu's Jinniu district for more than half a century, was chopped by thugs sent by a developer early this year.
