School project boosts English skills

We are students from Po Leung Kok Lee Shing Pik (LSP) College in Tsuen Wan. We have done a project about our school called 'My LSP'.

Our school is in the centre of Tsuen Wan. It was established in 1982. Since then our school has developed a lot.

Johnny Ho

LOCAL jockey Johnny K. S. Ho had two days chopped off his six-meeting suspension when appealing to the Macau Jockey Club appeals panel at Taipa yesterday, writes Robin Parke.

Ho was suspended for not taking all permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing for the Allan Chan-trained Happy Guy on the course last Saturday.

No quenching Chan's thirst for winners

TONY P. H. Chan's great second season continued at Sha Tin yesterday when his filly, Amorace, made all for a tenacious neck victory in the second event.

More to come from Harvest

LOCAL jockey Johnny Ho can go into the festive season a happy man after landing a lucrative cup win for connections of Space Rock at Happy Valley on Tuesday night.

The Australian import, ridden in impeccable fashion by Ho, won in the style of an even-money chance, never mind the 16-1 he returned.

Top Glory on way up

WELL, everyone at Sha Tin would have seen it - the outstanding run of the very promising private purchase griffin, Top Glory, who is trained by Chris Cheung Ting-pong and was ridden by Johnny Ho.

He was restrained early before making very good headway from the corner to finish a very strong third to the useful Mighty Mighty.

Hutch's griffin in pretty good shape

A BUSY morning on the Sha Tin work tracks yesterday with Bruce Hutchison's subscription griffin, Pretty Long Legs, looking in outstanding condition.

Horse Racing

THERE should be a big improvement by Plentiful Harvest following his debut run in yesterday's second griffin event where he was given no respite from the front under a far from patient ride from Johnny Ho.

The same can be said of the Basil Marcus-ridden Turf Champ. These two horses went hammer and tongs in front over the 1,235-metre course - a very stern test.

How Free to liberate jockey Ho from slide

HOW Free can break his maiden status this afternoon and also give jockey Johnny Ho a welcome winner in the third event at Happy Valley this afternoon.
