I was interested to read Dr Robert Hanson's letter ("'Green' light bulbs really a health hazard", February 22), replying to my letter ("Offer rewards for light-bulb recycling", February 17). However, I would like some references to back up the claims he made.

The wait is finally over. Singer-actress Karen Mok Man-wai's first jazz album titled Somewhere I Belong is finally coming out on Friday next week (January 18).

"This is jazz music but with a touch of Chinese-ness," she said.

Celebrating 20 years in show business next year, Canto-pop singer-actress Karen Mok Man-wai will have a lot on her plate.

January will see the release of her first English-language jazz album and the start of her concert tour. Her new action film, Man of Tai Chi - the directorial debut of Hollywood star Keanu Reeves - is scheduled for release in the summer.

Award-winning pop singer Karen Mok Man-wai, who last released a studio album two years ago, has a jazz recording on the way.

Mok performed at last weekend's Shanghai Jazz Music Festival, where the line-up included Grammy award-winning Roy Hargrove and British jazz band Incognito.

Canto-pop star says working on concert DVD brought all the great moments back for her

You might have seen her shine on stage, but it seems Canto-pop diva Karen Mok Man-wai also has skills on the sales and production side.

On Monday in Central's DCH AV showroom, she promoted the CD-DVD pack of the concert she did last year in Taipei. The event followed a series of promotion events in Taiwan earlier this month.
