Bjorn Berg - At least it's a start, though it's disappointing that this isn't being dealt with in a national-level law (although I would assume such a law to follow). I just hope it will make a real difference in how bystanders react to people in need of assistance.

Find the will for a new village way

Leung Chun-ying and Henry Tang Ying-yen offered what looked like policy proposals in developing the New Territories when they met rural leaders on Saturday. But both men seemed more eager to please the powerful Heung Yee Kuk, which represents villagers' interests, than seriously address the real issues, which have to do with land rights and village houses.

Reject kuk's call for country park enclaves compensation

The war cry by the Heung Yee Kuk for more compensation for conservation of country park enclaves must be shot down at once. The zonal compensation for resumption of agricultural land is sufficient and there is no need to compensate potential development value. Once we do that, where does it stop?
