When legislator Kwok Ka-ki bad-mouthed Hong Kong's property developers for being greedy, one of them threatened to sue him. But then he backed off. Stewart Leung Chi-kin of the Real Estate Developers' Association conceded he could not sue even if he wanted to because, as a lawmaker, Dr Kwok enjoyed legal freedom to speak his mind while in the Legislative Council.

Kwok given FIFA mission

INTERNATIONAL recognition of Hongkong Sports Institute head coach Kwok Ka-ming has come in the shape of his appointment as a member of FIFA's Technical Study Group for next month's soccer World Youth Championship in Australia.

Kwok is the first Hongkong official to take up the post and joins other soccer experts from Argentina, Australia and the FIFA technical committee.
