Winner of the Coach of the Year Award, Shen Jinkang, has challenged his charge Sarah Lee Wai-sze to make the necessary improvements if the cyclist wants to stay competitive at the world's highest level.

Sarah Lee Wai-sze returned yesterday from Minsk, Belarus, where she won gold and bronze in the women's time trial and sprint respectively - the best achievement yet by any Hong Kong cyclist in a world event. Lee also won a bronze at the London Olympic Games last summer, Hong Kong's third Olympics medal.

A day after she became the first Hong Kong cyclist ever to win an overall World Cup title, Lee Wai-sze made it two, adding the keirin crown to the sprint title she sealed on Saturday.

Despite finishing only fourth in the keirin final, Lee secured sufficient points to top the standings after the last of the three World Cup events, in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
