Sarah Lee Wai-sze wins her first gold of 2013 Asian Cycling Championships

After failing earlier in the competition to reach the medal race in the sprint, in which she was the defending champion, the Olympic bronze medallist made no mistake in the 500-metre time trial, in which she won gold at the world championships in Minsk, Belarus, last month.

Naming arena after her too early, says champion Hong Kong cyclist Lee Wai-sze

Sarah Lee Wai-sze returned yesterday from Minsk, Belarus, where she won gold and bronze in the women's time trial and sprint respectively - the best achievement yet by any Hong Kong cyclist in a world event. Lee also won a bronze at the London Olympic Games last summer, Hong Kong's third Olympics medal.

Second success for Hong Kong cyclist Lee Wai-sze

A day after she became the first Hong Kong cyclist ever to win an overall World Cup title, Lee Wai-sze made it two, adding the keirin crown to the sprint title she sealed on Saturday.

Despite finishing only fourth in the keirin final, Lee secured sufficient points to top the standings after the last of the three World Cup events, in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
