Suspect, 28, is arrested over rape at wet market

A 28-year-old man was arrested last night in connection with the rape of a woman in a wet market at Ap Lei Chau a month ago.

He was seized at a shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui at 6pm after being identified by officers.

He was taken to his home in Tai Wai, where police took away items including a pair of jeans, a phone SIM card and a jacket.

Officers interview Ap Lei Chau residents over rape

Police yesterday interviewed residents of an Ap Lei Chau estate where a 21-year-old woman was raped last month. It was the second day that officers had held door-to-door questioning and asked bus drivers whether they had seen anything. Police have made no arrest.

Manhunt after woman dragged into market and raped

A manhunt is under way after a 21-year-old woman was raped in an Ap Lei Chau market before dawn yesterday.

The woman was attacked at about 3am after she got off an N171 cross-harbour bus at the South Horizons Drive terminal.

Two minutes into her walk home, she was grabbed from behind and dragged into the Ap Lei Chau Estate market, police said.

On style, she rules

I am on a quest for the canvas, faux, dare-I-say 'Birkin' bag. Not the colorful printed canvas bags sold by Taiwanese company Banane Taipei (Lane Crawford) but a different, more subtle version. It looks like the details of the bag have been air-brushed on to the canvas, making it look much more real- a sort of a trompe l'oeil effect.

Ex-policeman is accused of killing woman found in sea

A former policeman arrested on Monday on suspicion of killing a 25-year-old woman, whose half-naked body was found floating in the sea off Ap Lei Chau a week ago, will appear in Eastern Court today charged with one count of murder.
