A church in Kowloon City that has a student following will renovate a nearby stone-house cluster in Junction Road, Lok Fu, as a youth hub featuring an old Hong Kong-style cafe.

Police are investigating after a cup struck a woman waiting for a bus in Lok Fu, Wong Tai Sin. The woman, 41, was treated in hospital for a leg injury. The bus stop is outside Wang Fu House on Wang Tau Hom Estate.

Woman held for leaving sons unattended

A divorced woman, 37, was arrested after leaving two sons, aged seven and 12, unattended at home in Wong Tai Sin. The eldest boy called their father on Thursday night, saying they had been left alone at home in Lok Fu Estate, and the father called police at 9.20pm. The woman went out with her five-year-old son, a police investigator said.

The ultimate sacrifice

Wong Ka-hei, 27, should be buried in Gallant Garden, the official burial ground for government servants killed in the line of duty, his commander said.

'He sacrificed his life in combating the fire. His act was brave. I believe he deserves a place there,' New Territories South divisional commander Szeto Yat-san said, adding Wong was an outstanding and responsible firefighter.

Police anxious to find missing boy

Updated at 4.40pm: Police on Thursday appealed to the public to provide information on the whereabouts of an 11-year-old boy.

A spokesman said the boy, Too Kai-yung, left his home at Lok Him House of Lok Fu Estate in Wong Tai Sin at about 5pm on Monday. He failed to return home afterwards.

His mother on Wednesday told police the boy was missing.

MTR stops after man runs into tunnel at Wong Tai Sin

An MTR driver stopped his train at Wong Tai Sin station last night after spotting a man jump on to the tracks and run through the tunnel towards Lok Fu station. He alerted his colleagues ahead, who saw the man emerge 10 minutes later.

Police arrest 10 schoolgirls

Police arrested 10 schoolgirls aged between 13 and 15 for allegedly demanding money from a fellow student, 13, near Lok Fu Estate, Wang Tau Hom. The girls were later released on bail.

Shotgun from $2.5m raid recovered

A loaded shotgun snatched from one of two security guards during a $2.5 million robbery on Monday in the Lok Fu Centre, Wong Tai Sin, was recovered by police from a flower bed near the scene yesterday. The hunt for the two gunmen and cash continues.

The church broadcasts music three times a day, at noon, 3pm and 6pm.

Arson suspected in bus fire

A Kowloon Motor Bus double-decker was badly damaged in an apparent arson attack in Wong Tai Sin. Firemen were called to a bus terminal at Lok Fu Estate in Wang Tau Hom South Road at about 3am after the bus burst into flames.

Woman strangled at home

Mainlander Yik Chung-wing, 28, chopped and strangled an elderly woman and stole $1,000 and a watch from her as she lay dying in her flat in Lok Fu Estate, Kowloon, the Court of First Instance heard. Yik pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied murder. The case continues.

Woman attacked

A pregnant woman was pushed against a wall and indecently assaulted by a teenage schoolboy while she was returning home in Lok Fu Estate, Kowloon City. The woman, 21, who is eight months' pregnant, was pushed against the wall by a youth, aged about 18, in school uniform. She shouted for help and he kicked her in the stomach.
