Toy mogul in fresh controversy over car park

Toy tycoon Francis Choi Chee-ming has been plunged into a new land-use controversy after a basement car park at his Kowloon City mall was found to have been used as car dealers' showroom by his son's company, without government authorisation.

The Lands Department said yesterday it was seeking legal advice.

Jewellers and luxury international brands have edged out restaurants in the upmarket IFC Mall in Central.

Commercial landlord Sun Hung Kai Properties has revamped the tenant mix of its joint-venture retail arcade by not renewing lease agreements with 10 restaurants to make room for those willing to pay much higher rents for the prime space.
