British police arrest two men on diverted Pakistan flight

Britain scrambled fighter jets on Friday to intercept a commercial airliner carrying more than 300 people from Pakistan, diverting it to an isolated runway at an airport on the outskirts of London and arresting two passengers on suspicion of endangering the aircraft.

Briton jailed for wearing anti-police T-shirt

Barry Thew, 39, was arrested for wearing a shirt bearing handwritten messages saying “One less pig perfect justice” and “” in Radcliffe, near Manchester, northern England, on September 18.

His arrest came hours after two police officers in Manchester were killed in a gun and grenade attack that shocked Britain.
