Owners seek $1.5b for two old buildings in Wan Chai

Ninety-three per cent of homeowners and investors in two old buildings in Wan Chai have put up the properties for tender with a price tag of about $1.5 billion.

The tender for Kam Kwok Building, at the junction of Gloucester Road and Marsh Road, and National Building at the junction of Jaffe Road, will close on July 25 and will be handled by property consultant Savills.

Crash driver arrested

An alleged drink driver was arrested after his car mowed down railings and a traffic sign before landing upside down in Gloucester Road near the junction of Marsh Road in Wan Chai at 5.30am. Police said the driver was unhurt and released on bail of $5,000.
