Three claimers fall foul of race officials

Apprentice Eden H.K. Cheung was banned for five days by the Stipendary Stewards yesterday and fellow claimers Vincent S.K. Sit and Martin C.K. Tsang also fell foul of officialdom.

Senior rider Raymond S.M. Tam drew a three-day ban for failing to persevere with outsider Mr Wonderful in the final event.

Stunned Tsang handed down nine-day ban

Talented apprentice Martin C.K. Tsang was suspended for nine days for his controversial ride on the Ivan Allan-trained Acquisition at Sha Tin on Saturday.

Tsang was found guilty by the stewards of breaching Rule 131 (ii) which refers to taking all permissible measures to ensure the best possible placing for a horse.
