Russian scientists say unusual rocks are fragments from Urals meteor

Scientists believe they have discovered fragments of the meteor that plunged spectacularly over Russia's Ural Mountains creating a shockwave that injured 1,200 people and damaged thousands of homes, a Russian news agency reported on Monday.

Meteors and transport fail to put on show

The Leonid meteor show left a trail of transport chaos, littered beaches and parks and frustrated stargazers as it passed almost unseen across the skies early yesterday.

Tens of thousands of people were left downcast as cloudy skies all but blocked the view of the fiery fragments from the tail of Comet Tempel-Tuttle.

Solar panels moved to avoid meteor showers

Hong Kong-based satellite operators yesterday shifted solar panels and adjusted systems in an attempt to avoid damage from this morning's meteor shower.

Museum show a let-down

ON August 26, I, my husband and our two sons aged nine and seven went to see the Sky Show 'Comet Crash' at the Space Museum.

After seeing it we were extremely dissatisfied with the way the Space Museum advertised and presented the show.
