The French seem to have a stranglehold on the art of mime thanks to the efforts of the late, great Marcel Marceau, and so it comes as no surprise that the art form is being showcased during the ongoing Le French May celebrations.

Say it in silence

Mime is a silent form of storytelling.

Unlike in other forms of drama, nobody speaks. Instead, exaggerated movements and gestures are used to tell a tale.

Veteran comedian Jim Chim Shui-man will restage his popular solo performance Man of La Tiger after his sold-out performances earlier this year.

Written by playwright Poon Wai-sum, the show portrays a middle-class man's grievances through gags and spoofs.

Chim will impersonate politicians and celebrities.
