Elderly woman dies after being hit by minibus

A minibus driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death after his vehicle hit and killed an elderly woman in North Point yesterday. The woman, 83, was hit as she crossed Java Road near the Yuet Yuen Street junction around 9am. She was taken to Eastern Hospital and declared dead shortly afterwards.

Minibus driver jailed 3 years over death

Minibus driver Au Yeung Kwok-kin, 48, who ran a red light and knocked down and killed cyclist Leung Yiu-cho, 29, on a Yuen Long pedestrian crossing on April 11 last year, was jailed for three years for dangerous driving causing death and disqualified from driving for five years.
