Unsure what to expect from a Brazilian jiu-jitsu class, I came away from a visit to Epic MMA (mixed martial arts) Club with my seven-year-old son surprised and enthused. The vast 15,000 sq ft club, expertly equipped, made a good first impression. But as I scanned the boxing ring and cage fighting area, I questioned if this really was a place for children.
