Six degrees

Johnny Depp (below) is once again packing Hong Kong cinema-goers into their seats, as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, a film too far for any franchise. Depp, who will be 48 this week, has often eschewed blockbusters in favour of playing iconic misfits such as gonzo journalist Hunter S.

RIGHT, I'M OFF I began travelling (for television in 1988) because I wanted to see the world. Growing up in Sheffield, a grey industrial city in the north of England, I was taught by two charismatic geography teachers. 'Even the white bits were black'

After Monty Python but before Pole to Pole Michael Palin starred in Ripping Yarns, a series spoofing Boys' Own adventures. In the Testing of Eric Olthwaite, the hero is so drearily boring his family casts him out and he goes on a minor crime spree in the north of England, teaming up with an equally dull sidekick. The fugitive pair discover a topic of great mutual interest - black pudding.

I am looking for a small silver accessory featuring a teddy bear covered with stones. It is attached to a silver string and the woman I saw wearing one had it clipped to her jeans, which looked extremely cool. Please tell me how much it costs and where to get it.

This game is great fun. I'm not sure whether I understand it but that is irrelevant. You set up walls and other things to divert a few streams of falling sand. Easier to understand if you see. http://chir.ag/stuff/sand
