Last year, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy announced the band's sixth album would be a "Christian gangsta-rap jazz odyssey, with some ambient rebellious dubstep and face-melting metal flamenco cowboy psychedelia".Sunday, 14 October, 2012, 11:20am
Musings: Reading Hong Kong, China, and the World by Leo Lee Ou-fan East Slope Publishing

What I'm listening to: Muse's 2009 album, The Resistance. I seldom listen to rock music but I want to know more about Muse. I listened to them a lot as I prepared for my latest concerts
What I'm reading: local author Sirena Cheng's novels. They're love stories for girls. I also like Chip Tsao's books - his writing is sarcastic and to the point.22 May 2011 - 12:00am

French expatriates Agnes Thierry (above left) and Julia O'Toole (right, with brand ambassador Rachel Kan Mo-wah) bumped into one another waiting for a ride in Hong Kong, and realised they both spoke the same language and shared similar artistic tastes. If you have never experienced British alternative band Muse's live performances - what the band is best known for - their live album H.A.A.R.P. is a great introduction to how dazzling they are.
H.A.A.R.P. comprises a CD and DVD of material recorded over two concerts in London last summer. Even without the DVD, it's incredible and well worth the price.30 Mar 2008 - 12:00am
