A crazy night for K-Pop

Going to Macau to watch a concert means tolerating bouts of hour-long seasickness and a very late bedtime. But the K-Pop Nation Concert 2012 held at the Venetian Macao last Sunday made it worthwhile.

Whenever I think about it, the night's upbeat electric music still rings in my ears.

Damon Albarn, better known as the lead singer in the British bands Blur and Gorillaz, has undertaken a very different project in Dr Dee: An English Opera.

By melding Elizabethan instruments with the African kora, modern guitar and his own voice, Albarn attempts to produce eclectic sounds that evoke the mysterious world of John Dee, medical adviser to Queen Elizabeth I.
