I REFER to your report in the Saturday January 8 edition of the South China Morning Post, on the US figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, who was clubbed on the knee by an unknown assailant while taking part in a skating competition in Detroit, Michigan.

She had evidently received two threatening letters - one from Canada's province of Ontario. ''Is Ontario close to here?'' she asked.
