Babysitters give peace of mind

Being a hands-on mother with a full-time job is not easy in Hong Kong. When they want a night off, it is difficult to find a babysitter who lives nearby.

This is when Rent-A-Mum comes in handy. Instead of having mothers running all over the city trying to find the perfect babysitter, the company does it for you.

This is your nanny speaking ...

'IT'S LIKE A MIRACLE: when I go up to a crying baby or child, they just stop and smile - they must like me,' says Pansy Mau Pui-man.

Which is just as well, because Mau is a so-called sky nanny and her job is to do just that: avert a crisis on board when a screaming child threatens to disturb the peace of every passenger within earshot.

there's nothing worse than . . . stupidity

BLACK Grape, those madcap funsters who rose like a ragged phoenix from the chemical-soaked ashes of the Happy Mondays, have just released an album that captures the Zeitgeist perfectly as we wade through the viscous dregs of the 20th century. Its title: Stupid Stupid Stupid.
