Lenovo, the world's second-largest supplier of personal computers, admitted yesterday it was in talks to establish a joint venture in the smartphone business.

Just a year after re-entering China's mobile market, faded Japanese electronics giant NEC is in rumored talks to sell its mobile phone business to Chinese computer giant Lenovo.
