The number of stray dogs in the city has reached an estimated 25,000 and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is seeking help to cut the number by 30 per cent by 2016.

Dogs should be neutered

IS there a Department of Morons in the Agriculture and Fisheries Department (AFD)? Does anyone really believe that destroying healthy dogs with homes to go to will help control the stray dog population?

Right track

I REFER to the January 24 letter in which it is suggested that a large licensing fee is the solution to the dog problems.

This is on the right track, but the position is not so simple.
