A MAN claiming to be a private detective and debt collector was arrested when he tried to collect a fake police warrant card from a photo company in Mei Foo Sun Chuen yesterday, police said.

The 35-year-old man allegedly told detectives he needed the fake to 'facilitate his job'.

MORE than half of expatriate police on contract terms have agreed to new conditions to ensure a bulk of experienced middle-rank officers will straddle the transition to Chinese rule.

It is understood slightly more than 200 of the 400 overseas contract officers have signed up for another three years.
