CHRIS Patten is obviously feeling the burn from criticism that he is a one-issue Governor. On ATV's Newsline last night he broke away from the usual questioning about, what else, politics, to point out he is just as concerned about other issues.

Pregnant pause over

AFTER a lengthy hiatus, during which time she had her third child, former RTHK political reporter Sally Blyth is back in circulation but this time as a TV face rather than just a radio voice.

Sally will be co-hosting ATV World's current affairs programme, Newsline which returns to the screens starting Sunday.

ATV World has found a replacement for Stuart Pallister at the helm of its public affairs desk - newsreader Sally Round will be taking over responsibility for Monday Monitor, one-off documentaries and specials for the channel, from Easter.

''She is a real pro,'' said ATV's controller of news and public affairs, Tim Jim.
