Bombay service launched by APL

APL today launches a container service to and from India, serving the new Nhava Sheva state-of-the-art container terminal a few miles east of Bombay.

Contracts for Trafalgar House

Kvaerner says its Trafalgar House Construction unit in India has won three contracts worth 230 million Norwegian krone (about HK$247.4 million) to cover quay construction.

The largest is a container traffic terminal near Bombay for Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal.

NYK adds extra HK call to Europe

JAPAN'S NYK Line will introduce a second call at Hong Kong on its Far East-Europe service on March 6.

The cargo cut-off time for the Monday service will be 11.30 pm on Sunday.

Currently, a NYK vessel leaves Hong Kong for north Europe every Wednesday.

Territory to join Interasia routes

INTERASIA Lines will introduce a service to Hong Kong as part of its Japan-Straits service this month.

The company also will increase the frequency of its Japan-Taiwan service from once a week to twice weekly.

It also has strengthened its presence in Singapore by setting up a joint-venture agency office.
