Greenpeace activists yesterday scaled the sides of an Arctic oil platform owned by Russian group Gazprom to draw attention to the dangers of drilling in one of the world's last pristine natural reserves.

US oil firm admits spill was bigger than it said

The American operator of troubled oil platforms in Bohai Bay has admitted that the total amount of oil that leaked around its rigs was more than double its original estimates, amid mounting criticism from marine authorities that the company has yet to offer a permanent solution to the problem.

Missing 4 spark sea hunt

AN AIR and sea search was mounted at daybreak today for four missing fishermen, whose boat sank yesterday southeast of Waglan Island.

Nine crew members were rescued from the boat yesterday morning by a supply vessel of an oil platform in the South China Sea. They were picked up from two sampans.
