Chen Lu is still a little bitter about a visa mishap that cost him the chance to go to India four years ago, but he used the experience as motivation and co-founded an online community that brings together mainland students and people with business ambitions.

My mother was born in the 1960s. She often tells me: 'When I was a student, I had to go straight back home to do housework after school.'

I think we teenagers nowadays are very lucky that we only have to study after school. However, most of us don't realise this.
