As one who uses the airport about twice a week, I find that, overall, it provides a very good service. There is, however, room for improvement.

Disney intern helps clear up misconceptions about China

Visiting American schools was the highlight of working at Walt Disney World, a former Disney intern said.

'They had lots of misconceptions about China and Chinese culture,' Judith Wong, who studied hotel management at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE), said.

Introduce 'Disney-China visa'

Although it has been a number of years since I have lived in Hong Kong, it is still one of my favourite cities.

When I recently read that negotiations with the Disney Corporation had to be extended because an agreement could not be reached, a thought occurred to me which I thought might assist in the negotiations.

A campaign over the 49 workers killed during the building of the airport and other related projects yesterday took its protest to the passenger terminal.

The Airport Authority said it would not attempt to stop the demonstration, describing the building as a 'public place'.

Anyone who had visited the air port in the past few days would have found it hard to imagine how it could have opened in April, even though the lights at the end of the runway suggested a plane could land at any time and the first passenger trials were being held in the terminal.

Tourists in the danger zone

AN Italian couple who went to Florida to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary will fly home this week lucky to be alive after being gunned down in the State's latest attack on tourists.

And last night a police chief warned Hong Kong tourists preparing to fly to Orlando to visit the area's major attractions, Disney World, MGM Studios, and Sea World, to be on their guard.

Townsend warns Sino-British row threatens PAA deadline

NEW Provisional Airport Authority (PAA) chief executive Dr Hank Townsend warns that the Sino-British political row is jeopardising the scheduled completion of the first phase of Hongkong's $68 billion new airport by 1997.

He said that every passing month of political stalemate increased the risk of failing to meet the deadline.
