Mitsubishi's find gives needed boost to young oil sector

THE country's fledgling oil industry received a much-needed boost yesterday with Japan's Mitsubishi Corp revealing an oil strike off southern Vietnam.

Mitsubishi sources described the strike as promising, saying they hoped it could lead to commercial exploitation next year.
