Peugeot opens third plant in China

Chief executive Philippe Varin, who flew in for the opening ceremony in Wuhan, Hubei province, said the plant would help the firm capture 5 per cent of the mainland market by 2015.

Most people who packed the 80,000 square metres of floor space had come to stare at cars from more than 1,000 exhibitors. They gawked at cars never seen on Chinese roads - or roads anywhere.
