United Laboratories surges 31pc on debut

United Laboratories International Holdings, a Hong Kong pharmaceutical company with plants in the mainland, gave its investors a pleasant surprise yesterday when its shares gained 31.27 per cent on their trading debut.

The stock surged as much as 34.55 per cent before closing at HK$3.61 from its issue price of HK$2.75. Shares worth HK$597.61 million were traded.

LifeTec narrows net loss by 36pc
