Postman loses letters

A postman yesterday lost a bundle of mail believed to contain between 30 and 35 letters while delivering to a building in Tam Kung Road, To Kwa Wan. The 56-year-old postal worker, who reportedly told police he had not fastened his mailbag while delivering, searched the area but failed to find the missing mail.

Injured postman who fears he will lose job sues for $3m

A postman who suffered back injuries at work is suing the Postmaster-General for more than $3 million.

Included in the claim is Lam Wut-man's $1.6 million alleged loss of future earnings. The remainder is for medical expenses, pain and suffering, and loss of amenities.

My mother in Japan sent my birthday present by air mail last month. Wan Chai Post Office tried to deliver it to my flat while I was out, but no notice was left by the postman, to this effect.

Authorities confiscate new movie

AUTHORITIES have confiscated the second film by He Jianjun, one of the seven ''outlaws'' of China's independent film industry.

The move was part of China's ongoing crackdown on independent film-making.
