Bishop must come clean on details of any abuse

The Catholic Church has a reputation for sometimes putting image ahead of the interests of its flock. Decades of sexual abuse by predatory priests have been covered up on all continents, solidifying a belief that the church considers itself above civil law.

Dubious film choices show Maggie needs to go out on a limb

After bursting on to the scene in blockbuster sequels like Mission Impossible III and Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard, is Maggie Q's career beginning to taper off? So far, the former model has followed up those big studio hits with a comedy flop (Balls of Fury), a less-than-thrilling thriller (Deception) and a mediocre historical epic (Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon).

Proof the book fair was not just about racy photo albums

Those promoting books of pseudo-models' photographs appear to have triumphed at the recent Hong Kong Book Fair, but the advocates of literature over the racy albums have yet to give up the fight. Local author Keith Ho has been keeping himself busy since the closing of the fair promoting the new title Hong Kong So Happy.

More than 60 couples from the Young Executives Group renewed their vows with a post-Valentine event at the Hong Kong Country Club at Deep Water Bay.

In a report we ran on Friday headlined 'Church is not required to report abuse, says bishop', the final paragraph should have read: 'Bishop Zen's statement yesterday did not touch on the arrest of a second former Catholic priest on Tuesday for allegedly sexually abusing a boy in the early 1970s.' The word 'allegedly' was missing. We apologise for the omission.

Vicious and evil perversions

I AM really very pleased that something is being done about the introduction of licensing sex shops.
