The self-styled Prince Roy of Sealand, who declared a sovereign principality on an abandoned British sea fort, has died aged 91, Sealand's website announced.

United States-based asset manager Franklin Templeton Investments yesterday signed a deal in Shenzhen to set up a Shanghai-based fund management joint venture with a mainland brokerage. Templeton will own 33 per cent of Franklin Templeton Sealand Fund Management, with Sealand Securities holding the rest.

Local boats set sail in Cup decider

THE 31-strong Kenwood Cup yacht fleet set off at 6 am today on the deciding 360-mile race of the competition in Hawaii.

Hong Kong's four-yacht challenge, presently in fourth position in the Champagne Mumm World Cup Series and fourth in the Yacht Clubs' and Kenwood Cups, have everything to sail for in the final leg, with quadruple points on offer.

Wizard conjures another race win

HONG KONG'S Sealand Wizard maintained her earlier excellent form by winning the third race of the Kenwood Cup off Hawaii to take Steve Ellis' yacht into third position overall.

Yesterday's racing finished with the territory's four-yacht challenge in fourth place overall, behind two American and a New Zealand team.

Wizard revels in gusty Hawaii

HONG Kong's Sealand Wizard is in second place overall in the Kenwood Cup Series in Hawaii after winning one of the two windward-leeward races on the opening day.

A strong first day performance by the Territory's four yacht-challenge ended with Hong Kong's competitors in second, 11th, 17th and 21st places and third overall in the team competition.
