The Professional Squash Association's (PSA) decision to restructure the draw for all major tournaments has come under fire from players.

Heath to qualify

IN-FORM Martin Heath, winner of the Mazda squash Championship last week, has been relegated to the qualifying rounds of the Perrier-Asia Inc. Classic which starts today at the Kowloon Cricket Club.

Heath, ranked 100th in the world, is the top seed in the qualifiers following the late entry of Italy's Jose Facchini, the world number 79.

Shum 'let off' with fine for Kiwi incident

HONG Kong's Andrew Shum Siu-chung has ''escaped'' with a fine of GBP100 (HK$1,150) for striking his opponent during a first-round match in the New Zealand Open early last month.

The 23-year-old Hong Kong number two jabbed Cameron Barbour with the shaft of his racquet out of frustration when the referee awarded a free stroke to the New Zealander.
