Former New Zealand coach Laurie Mains has added his weight to calls for a fourth Australian team to be included in the Southern Hemisphere's provincial Super 12 series.

Mains, in Sydney as coach of the South African Cats ahead of tomorrow's match with New South Wales, said he thought the Aussies deserved to have an extra team after winning last year's World Cup.
