PSY, also known as Park Jae-sang, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer and record producer born in December, 1977. He became a household name with the release of his single and accompanying video, Gangnam Style, which shot to number one around the world. The video for the song about the area he comes from in South Korea has received over 530 million views on YouTube.

The Hong Kong-listed AV Concept has appointed the South Korean pop star Psy as the exclusive global brand ambassador for its headphone brand "Soul".

YG Entertainment, the record label and agency that represents South Korean pop sensation Psy, plans to expand into the China market by setting up a firm on the mainland this year.

Mega rapper PSY delivers another hip-shaking track

Despite serious diplomatic tensions in the peninsula, South Koreans’ attention in recent weeks was focused on just one thing: whether Psy’s latest single would be another global hit or a mega flop.

Well, the wait is over and the verdict is out: the irreverent rapper has done it again, with Gentleman receiving more than 197 million views on YouTube to date.

South Korean rapper Psy's viral hit Gangnam Style became the first video to break a billion views on YouTube, marking a historic internet milestone.

The view counter for Gangnam Style, which was posted on the video-sharing site on July 15, clicked over into 10 figures late on Friday night.
