A 17-year-old schoolboy suffered head injuries when he fell after slam-dunking a basketball at a school in Tsuen Wan. Chan Wing-hung, a Form Five pupil at Po Leung Kuk Yao Ling Sun College, was playing basketball in the school's outdoor court on Shek Wai Kok Estate when he fell. Police motorcyclist injured
A policeman was slightly injured when he lost control of his motorcycle in Cheung Pei Shan Road outside Shek Wai Kok Estate, Tsuen Wan, at 6.53am. He told officers he had hit oil on the road. The officer, 42, was treated at Yan Chai Hospital for minor abrasions and bruising on both arms and his left knee.

Man takes overdose after row with girlfriend
A man was taken to hospital after an apparent suicide attempt in a flat at Shek Tsui House, Shek Wai Kok Estate in Tsuen Wan, at 11.40am. He overdosed on sleeping pills after an argument with a girlfriend. He was found by his father, who contacted the police. The man was taken to Yan Chai Hospital.
