If Puerto Rico becomes the 51st state of the US, the disadvantages to the US will outweigh the advantages.
Puerto Rico's first language is Spanish and it may not want English as its lingua franca all the time. Why doesn't it join one of the Spanish states like Brazil or stay independent? Look at the problems Canada has had with Quebec.13 Mar 1998 - 12:00am
