CR Power makes two acquisitions

Hong Kong-listed mainland power producer China Resources Power Holdings said it will acquire two companies for HK$898.9 million, giving it stakes in five power plants and a property developer in Jiangsu province.

Power station on line early

THE first phase of construction of the Guangzhou Pumped Storage Power Station has been completed earlier than expected.

Phase one of the station, comprising four units that will generate 1,200 megawatts, began commercial operation last Thursday.

The station is owned by the Guangzhou Pumped Storage Joint Venture Corp.
