Purton finishes second to Whyte after a thriller with Prebble

Zac Purton and Brett Prebble finished level for the day's racing, but that gave Purton second place to Douglas Whyte in the jockeys' championship after a tight battle in recent meetings between the pair. Purton took his advantage to two after he won on Africa Light in the fourth, while Prebble replied later with Silver Grecian, so the one-win margin remained.
