Six people remained in hospital on Thursday after a fire at a residential building in Quarry Bay left 100 residents homeless.

Part of the 25-storey Chung Hing Mansion on King’s Road was still cordoned off on Thursday as firemen searched for clues to how the blaze began on Wednesday around 10pm.

Level-four blaze breaks out in Quarry Bay, 8 injured

Firemen arrive at the scene to tackle the level-four alarm fire, which broke out at Chung Hing Mansion, Pan Hoi Street in Quarry Bay.

Scores of firemen were early today struggling to contain a serious fire in a residential building in Quarry Bay, which left at least eight people injured.

All of the injured were sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for treatment.
