Alarm at jump in number of drug users under 21

The number of reported young drug abusers surged in the first three months of the year, despite a drop in the number of addicts.

This brought a call for the government to reach out more to addicts' parents and to ethnic minorities who face a language barrier.

Truly a wonderful event

AS a former resident of Hong Kong, I was pleased to have been visiting at one of the most exciting times in the territory - MacLehose Trail Walk event, October 28.

Covering some of the most beautiful areas in Hong Kong and the New Territories, hundreds of enthusiastic walkers braved the 100-kilometre trail in aid of charity.

Gurkha teams in blanket victory

GURKHA teams again dominated the Trailwalker, taking the first three places and breaking the record they set three years ago.

The 10th Princess Mary's Own Gurkha Rifles 'B' Team shaved three minutes off the record, finishing the 100-kilometre trek in 13 hours, 18 minutes early today.
