A six-month nightmare for former apprentice jockey Raymond S. M. Tam ended yesterday when the Jockey Club granted him a licence for the remainder of the present season.

Sky is limit for Multi-Star

Progressive Multi-Star can land a hat-trick of victories by taking the Sports Club Golden Jubilee Challenge Cup at Sha Tin today and underline his claim as a rising star of the local scene. Not too many horses can run up a hat-trick of wins under Hong Kong's stringent handicap conditions, but Multi-Star should join that select band.

NOT all horses are particularly well or aptly-named but Money Horse can shortly become just that.

He was produced for the first time this season in the Class Three longer sprint which was the fifth race on yesterday's card and he ran a most pleasing race for claimer Raymond S. M. Tam.

The David Hill-trained youngster is aiming for his third win in four starts - no mean achievement if he succeeds - and must again combat a bad barrier draw.

Late run points to success

HE has been out of sorts lately but Determinater went into the book after his eye-catching third in the second event at Happy Valley last night.

The David Hill-trained galloper was last in the seven-runner event for much of the 1,600-metre trip but absolutely flew home along the rails for claimer Raymond S. M. Tam.
